My focus during the residency was that of creating quiet space. That was the conversation I was having with myself at the time and I had a deep desire to step back from the noise of city life, traffic and the sheer density of population. The paintings I would create during the term depicted these hushed spaces, where the voice of the muse could be more easily heard.
